Nicolas Frischer Manager, UPS Supply Chain Solutions
With
over twenty five years of transportation, logistics and international market
development experience, Nicolas Frischer brings a uniquely blended skill set to
global supply chain management. Nicolas has a diverse background in
manufacturing, product distribution, freight forwarding, customs brokerage,
domestic fleet and international carrier operations.
Nick’s logistics and supply chain background is anchored by a fourteen year
progression through the ranks of Fortune 100 Company American Brands,
responsible for global inventory planning, transportation, distribution and
market development for American Tobacco Cigarette and Jim Beam
Liquor brands. Nick held positions as Export and Traffic Manager, Duty Free
Manager then, numerous expat assignments in Asia, Latin America, Europe, Russia
and Middle East as county Manager(s), Caribbean Operations Manager, Director of
International Sales and Marketing and Director of Europe and Middle East.
Having particular aptitude for pioneering supply chains in developing countries
and “grey markets”, Nick spent the next few years abroad as a special consultant
to British American Tobacco, Dunhill and Rothman’s Tobacco,
helping them navigate and overcome the physical and political challenges
necessary to operate in Russia, CIS, and Eastern Europe.
Returning to America, Nick worked for Brinks Security Transport, as
Director of Operations, responsible for the international movement of articles
of extraordinary value, specifically currency and gold bullion to world banks
and reserves.
Nick next helped SIRVA shepherd the merger of North American and
Allied Van Lines, as Director of Business Development, then Vice
President of Sales and Marketing for North American Van Lines in New
England
Nick currently enjoys his role with UPS – Supply Chain Solutions where for the
past two years, he has been consulting with and helping mid-market companies
engineer efficient and cost effective models for worldwide ocean and air freight
forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing, product distribution, technology
implementation and a range of financial considerations including global cargo
insurance and import – export trade financing.
