Bio
Mathew Wilson Vice President, National Policy, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters
Mathew is the Vice President of National Policy for the Canadian Manufacturer &
Exporters (CME), which is the largest industry and trade association in Canada.
In his role, he leads and coordinates CME’s policy and advocacy efforts for the
10,000 members of the organization across Canada and internationally. Mathew has
a broad background of Canadian and international government relations expertise,
with a focus on manufacturing competitiveness, and international trade and
market access. Mathew is the secretariat for the Canadian Manufacturing
Coalition, and has chaired and participates in several senior government
advisory committees on international trade, customs processes, and immigration.
Mathew has authored a variety research papers and articles, on issues such as
e-commerce, North American manufacturing competitiveness, and border
simplification. Before rejoining CME in 2011, Mathew worked for the Canadian
Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association.
