Anthony Z Zampello, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP President, Zampello and
Associates
Following
a long career in materials and manufacturing management, Z now serves as a
consultant, educator, and trainer to the operations and materials management
profession across many industries. He's been involved for over thirty years in a
broad range of industries, product types, and market environments. He has held
senior management positions with Engelhard, Hasbro, Swarovski Jewelry, Wm. E.
Wright, Robert Allen Design and Schroff, and has consulted with Vermont
Castings, Rolls Royce, JR Music Supply, Avon, Rockwell, DTC Communications,
Kens Foods, United Healthcare, Whitcraft, Plexus, Axsys, Arris, AstraZeneca and
Tiffany among others.
During his long tenure in industry, Tony has managed a wide range of
initiatives, including: S&OP and ERP implementations, lead time reduction
projects, offshore sourcing efforts, reorganization of materials management
organizations, project management and inventory reduction programs. His major
focus is in the Master Planning of Resources. His years of experience give him a
broad perspective in his consulting and teaching work in the United States,
Mexico and Great Britain.
Tony has been active in APICS for over twenty years, and holds the following
certifications:
Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Certified Supply Chain
Professional (CSCP) Integrated Resources Management (CIRM). He is considered
an industry expert in certification exam preparation in these areas. Tony has
been utilized by various APICS chapters, conducted training sessions for major
APICS corporate accounts and developed his own fast track approach to training.
As a speaker, Tony has appeared at the APICS International Conference, many
Chapter engagements and Assumption College.
He has held various leadership positions in APICS, including: Northeast District
Director [2009 and 2010],VP Region 1, Finance Committee Member, International
Board of Directors, and President of the Providence Chapter and New Bedford
Chapters. He currently serves as President of the Monadnock, NH Chapter. In
addition, Tony has taught as an adjunct professor at the Worcester Polytechnic
Institute and teaches Operations Management at Bentley University as an adjunct
lecturer.
He holds an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Union County Technical
Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Seton
Hall University.
