NESCON SUPPLY CHAIN HALL OF FAME AWARD CRITERIA

The NESCON Steering Committee is a veteran group of industry professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to plan, execute and continually develop the annual New England Supply Chain Conference and Exhibition educational program.  They are also charged to annually select one individual to receive the "Supply Chain Hall of Fame Award." Candidates are identified by attributes, accomplishments and contributions, such as:

Ø      Pioneering in the Supply Chain profession.  This is exemplified by one's conceptual and operational expertise and contributions, and by being a dynamic practitioner who sets standards for others to benchmark against.
Ø
Making significant contributions to a Supply Chain professional organization. This includes holding a leadership position in at least one association (i.e., APICS, CSCMP, ISM, NERT, NSMG, PMAB, etc.) and being recognized for extended and meritorious volunteer service. An ideal candidate is someone who has unselfishly given back to the profession.
Ø
Committing to and ardently supporting lifelong learning, ongoing training, education, and improvement within the Supply Chain profession, as well as being a good mentor and teacher to new practitioners.
Ø
Exhibiting “All Star” qualities.  Someone who has developed and led multiple total-cost-cutting and economic efficiency initiatives within employer and other organizations.
Ø
Consistently exhibiting strong leadership qualities; being an all-around innovative and creative thinker; and demonstrating leadership vision in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
Ø
Demonstrating the willingness to change and adapt to the latest Supply Chain landscape, as well as introducing practitioners to new ways of thinking, and challenging/influencing them to be champions of the latest philosophies, processes, and best practices of the profession.
Ø
Possessing an untiring, can-do attitude.  Ensuring efforts are proactive – not reactive, and refusing to take “no” or “it can’t be done” for an answer!
Ø
Serving as a role model for others – the highest caliber of Supply Chain professional, with a reputation for having an unwavering sense of integrity and ethics with all transactions and dealings.
Ø
Breaking down the barriers and silos among Supply Chain and other functional groups; promoting a more cross-functional, integrated working relationship and engaging all stakeholders within organizations.
