Empowering others to achieve their personal and professional goals by developing viable strategies and adopting effective problem solving techniques, Tom started Partners for Creative Solutions, Inc. in 1999 to help businesses of all types make dramatic improvements in their performance and profitability. Prior to starting PCS, he served in engineering and operations management roles in a broad spectrum of industries engaged in the manufacture of custom-engineered products. These included nuclear pressure vessels, machine tools, circuit board drilling and assembly machines, custom automation, size-reduction (recycling) machinery, and specialty pumps for the chemical industry.

Since starting PCS he has helped a wide variety of New England manufacturers remove waste from their operations by implementing various waste-elimination techniques, including lean manufacturing. His seminars on lean manufacturing, waste reduction, kaizen events, and cellular manufacturing have been sponsored by organizations such as the Central Massachusetts Employers' Association and the Purchasing Managers' Association of Boston.

Tom holds a BSME from the University of Missouri-Rolla and an MBA from the University of Akron (Ohio). He is registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio and is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the Corridor 9 Chamber of Commerce.
