Michael O'ConnorMichael O'Connor is Business Excellence Director/MBB of the Six Sigma Lean program at Unisys Corporation. He is part of the Program Management Office and primarily focuses on the global deployment of Six Sigma Lean. His responsibilities include curriculum development, conducting training, ensuring certification standards, and securing a host of learning resources for the Six Sigma Lean program.

Prior to joining Unisys, Michael worked as a consultant for Juran Institute where he helped companies in Computer Services, Financial Services, Health Care, Manufacturing and Telecommunications develop their Quality programs through Process Re-engineering, installation of Balanced Scorecards, training in Six Sigma, Lean, Measurements and Data Analysis.

Michael has trained and/or mentored hundreds of executives, Black Belt and Green Belt project leaders in process improvement tools. He easily and dynamically translates statistical problem solving theory into applied tools and techniques that drive bottom line results. Michael has worked with a long list of companies including: Blue Cross and Blue Shield, CSC, IBM, Intel, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Motorola, National Health Service, Pitney-Bowes, Samsung, TI, TELUS, UICC, UMC, USC, and Winbond. Michael holds Bachelors of Science degrees in electrical engineering, and physics from Case Western Reserve University. He also holds a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
